Yee Haw, Ya'll! It's time for a "Farm Hussy" review!!

Boy-howdie!  I have found a company that will knock your socks off!  Farm Hussy is a bath and body company based out of Los Alamitos, CA.  They make everything from sugar scrubs to lotion (and everything in-between!).  Absolutely every ounce of this painfully adorable site is farm-themed.  The names of the products, the scent descriptions....heck, even the directions!  You can definitely tell the level of creativity and care that goes into every single Farm Hussy product!

Let's start off with one of my favorite products: The sugar scrub!

I can say with absolute honesty that this is one of THE best sugar scrubs I have ever tried.  I was able to try out two different types.  The regular "Chicken Scratch Bath Scrub" and the "Chicken Scratch Foaming Bath Scrub."

Chicken Scratch Bath Scrub - This is your typical sugar scrub...with one exception.  It rocks!  The scrubbies are MUCH larger than any other scrub I've ever tried and it leaves your skin feeling polished and soft.  These come in a 6.1oz jar, and a little definitely goes a long way!  Here are the fabulous scents I got to try:
  • Goosebumps - This scent is from their seasonal Halloween line called, "Farm Ghouls Gone Wild!"  It smells oh-so-good!  Farm Hussy's description is much cuter than I could ever manage so I'll let them do the talkin'!
    • "…this is Hussy’s new favorite snort for Halloween! This fragrance will make your pinfeathers bristle, when you get a big honkin’ bill full of toasted marshmallows paddling around in a rich and creamy steamy pond of chocolaty cocoa! A positively startling scent!!"
  • Sissy's Kettlecorn - I absolutely LOVE this scent!   It smells just like walking past the kettlecorn stand at the fair!  Some of you might be thinking that you wouldn't want to walk around smelling like kettlecorn all day, but have no fear!  While this scent is strong and delicious, the scent won't linger on your skin for long.  You'll be free to put on your own perfume (or better yet, your Farm Hussy lotion!) after your bath without having the scents compete!  I love that!
    • Check out Farm Hussy's description: "This scent will sway those who swear to not like "foody" scents!  It will melt your "no no no's" in your no-no-nose and turn your heart into butter!  It's Sissy sweet, salty and absolute AROMAGIC in a sniff!  You'll only be sorry you didn't buy more ;-)"
Chicken Scratch Foaming Bath Scrub - This scrub is just as amazing as the above mentioned, but slightly different.  In addition to polishing away all the dead, dry skin on your body...this scrub also foams, turning it into a body wash as well!
  • Mama's Bear Hugs - Oh wow.  This is one of my top favorite scents in this entire order!  It is so soothing and relaxing.  I will definitely be ordering a full-sized lotion in this one!
    • From Farm Hussy: "Mamma's love will wrap you up in her arms with wafts of fresh apricoddle, herbal cha"MOM"ile, sugarberries, a sweet muzzle musk and nudge of vanilla."

Next up on the product review is the body creams/lotions.  Again, I'm thoroughly impressed  with every single thing.  Each and every lotion was hydrating without being greasy.  The scents were long lasting and very pretty.  In addition to all that, the names are too cute for words!

  • Whipped Soy Glace - This is probably the thickest of the lotions I received.  It is similar to the consistency of yogurt.  It does take a bit more effort to rub completely in, but it is perfect for the winter when all our skin starts to get as dry as a corn chip!
  • Devine Bovine Butyere - I would say that this is slightly less thick than the whipped soy glace.  It has more a creamy, body butter texture that most of us a familiar with.  Again, this is very moisturizing without being oily in the slightest.
  • Cream of The Crop - This is like a thick lotion.  There is definitely a different texture than the body-butter quality of the Devine Bovine Butyere.  This would be perfect for every day use.  The other two are more for severely dry skin.
  • Udderly Tickled Hand Lotion - This lotion is one of the lightest I tried.  While the other three creams come in a jar, this lotion comes in a handy squeeze bottle.  This moisturizes very well and absorbs quickly for those on the go.
  • Goat Milk n' Honey Lotion - While this has the same texture and consistency of the Udderly Tickled Hand Lotion, it has the added benefits of using goat's milk.  Anyone who has every tried a goat's milk lotion will know just how nice this feels on your skin!
Now on to the review of the scents in each lotion:
    • Maui Cowie - "Creamy coconut milk poured over a bowl of fresh peaches and topped off with sweet cream."
      • Boy, is that a dead, on description!  This is so tropical and yummy!  I'm going to love using this while I'm down with the "winter blues."
    • Grandpa's Apple Pandowdy - "This scent is for my Grandpa, this was one of his favorite things.  Before he ate it, he would always sing "Shoefly Pie and Apple Pandowdy, makes your eyes light up and your tummy yell Howdy"! Your nose won't be bummed either, this is our MOST awesome apple scent!  So proud to be the tip of the iceberg….."
      • Most apple pie scents that I've tried seem to rely heavily on adding a ton of cinnamon to make it seem accurate.  This, however, is a true apple pie scent!  You can smell everything from the warm apples to the buttery crust!
    • A Can of Libby's And a Spoon - "And I won't need nothin' else……..except maybe a glass of milk.  Fill up your puss with this pumpkin puree, cinnamon, cardamom, Vermont maple, rum, French vanilla and caramelized sugar.  Chase it down with fresh bread crust, do a cartwheel and make a pie in your tummy yummy!"
      • Again, I am very impressed at how accurate this is without adding a ton of spices, like most pumpkin scents have.  Perfect fall scent.
    • Hi-Vee Hot Orange Danish - For some reason I couldn't find this description on the website, but it is true to its name.  It's orange, and bakery, and deliciousness!
    • Fruit Compost - "This compounded fruit fusion is a scent stew of unspiced apple cider, juicy pumpkins and fresh squash blended together with newly tapped maple syrup.  A real Autumn Harvest conglomeration sensation!!"
      • Ooh this is nice! The combination just smells like a beautiful fall day!
    • Harvest HoeDown - "A barn stomping scent of autumn apples, fresh citrus and pumpkin notes circle together for this Must Have knee slappin' scent.  This is the absolute perfect Autumn scent in a jar.  It captures it all in one beautiful pre-winter whiff!"
      • This is similar to the fruit compost in that it is a very "fall day" type smell.  However this is less fruity and a bit more spicy.  So good.
    • VooDo Moo (Halloween collection) - "A bewitching voodoo moo brew of pomegranate enchantment."
      • This is a very fruity, light scent.  To me, it smells like berries mixed with cream.
    • Count Quackula (Halloween collection) - "Allow your senses to feast on this Granny Smith with a toffee and caramel crunch coating…so dangerously delish you might shake a stake at it!"
      •  Oh yeah....this is yum-in-a-jar!  This is a "must try"!
    • The Corn Stalker (Halloween collection) - "This haunting candy corn scent will follow you everywhere, a restraining order won't help!"
      • I'll admit, I hate the taste of candy corn.  But the smell?  Now that's a different story!
Overall Experience:

I am more than tickled pink with Farm Hussy's products (If you couldn't already tell)!  To be quite honest, it is a rare thing for me to be completely satisfied with bath and body products, largely in part because I am super picky.  However, I can honestly say that I will be a lifelong "Hussy"!  Please stop by http://farmhussy.com/index.html and check out these amazing goodies!  Even if you're on a tight budget, you'll be able to scoop some up!  Check out the Recession Special for an amazing deal :-)

Bearhug Creations! Everything from wax to bath & body!

It's time for another, long over-due review!  I actually received these goodies awhile ago and have been busy testing away :)  Bearhug Creations is an absolutely adorable site with tons and tons of different products offered.  Again, I'm impressed with another small retailer.  It still amazes me how many great products there are out there from small, home-based companies!  I think back to the amount of money I sank into big chain stores and I weep!!

Wax - Break Away Aroma Melts
  • "Fresh Cut Tulips" - I am not particularly partial to floral scents, but this is actually quite nice. It's a dead ringer for real flowers, which surprised me.  There's also a hint of something soft in there as well that I can't identify for sure.
  • "God's Love" - This is one of my favorite scents in this box.  It smells amazing but I had to look up the description of the scent to figure out what it smelled like!  According to the site, it's a mixture of soft baby powder and ripened mulberries.  I would have never guessed that one!  Great scent.
  • "Cool Steel" - This is a very romantic, manly cologne smell without being overpowering.
  • "Fruity O's" - Just like that classic cereal but with a little bit more tartness that makes it more sophisticated.  Love it.
  • "Apple Slices" - Boy, talk about authentic!  It came in a green color so I was expecting the tart green apple smell...but it actually smells like a ripe, juicy red apple.  Yum!
Wax - Candles
  • "Key Lime Pie" (6 oz) - This came in the traditional jelly jar that you see a lot of vendors carrying.  The scent, however, is very unique.  Most key-lime pie scents I've smelled don't come as close to the real lime scent as Bearhug's!  It has a delicious tartness that is so authentic!
  • "Creamy Vanilla" (10 oz) - This came in a double-wicked apothecary jar with a glass lid.  Very cute!  The scent was great, as well!  I absolutely love vanilla scents and this is one of my top favorites.  It almost reminds me a little bit of the ice cream cake batter scent.  Delish!
Scented Oil
  • "Blueberry Muffins" - YUM!  Need I say more?!?  Bakery/fruity/delicious!
Bath & Body
  • Satin Body Lotion - This 8 oz bottle came scented in Cashmere & Pearls.  One of my favorite things about this, is that it is softly scented.  I don't particularly care for strong lotions, because I feel like my perfume has to compete.  This is perfect!
  • Misting Perfume - This little travel spray came in the corresponding scent as my lotion.  I'm in LOVE with this bottle!  It's small enough to slip right into a purse, or even a pocket if you're not wanting to bring a bag along.  Great!
  • Moisturizing Lip Balm - I was 50/50 on this.  I loved the quality of the balm and how soft it was on my lips, however I didn't get hardly any of the Frosted Cupcakes scent.
  • Air Freshener - This came in a little mesh bag, scented in Thin Mints.  It is made of highly scented crushed corn...how cool!
  • Sink Freshener - Last, but certainly not least, is this sink freshener in Unwinding Aromas.  What a neat product!  You fill up your sink with warm water and add this powder.  It makes your entire kitchen smell great, not to mention that stinky garbage disposal!

Overall, I loved my experience with Bearhug Creations!  They have such a wide variety of things to choose from, and each and everyone of them was just as good as the last!  Take a moment to check out their site as well as their new blog and Facebook page!

Haley's Heavenly Scents (Second Order!)

I've been a fan of Haley's Heavenly Scents since the beginning of this blog.  I've done a previous (extensive) scent review so I won't go back over details already on here.  Instead, let's just jump right into the few new scents I got to try during her latest sale!

Scents:
  • Frosted Lime Cupcakes (12oz chunk jar candle) - Oh yum!  I love this one!  I don't really get much bakery scent, but mostly a mixture of butter and lime.  It smells great!  And travels like nobody's business!
  • Tart Green Apples (2oz tart) - Boy, is this one crisp!  If you like apple scents, you'll love this one.  It reminds me of the Jolly Green Jolly Rancher candy.
  • Green Apple Cotton Candy (2oz tart) - If you have read my last review on Haley's, you'll know that this was one of my favorites of the order.  It's a heavy (rather than candy) apple smell mixed with cotton candy.  So good!
Performance:
As always, Haley's Heavenly Scents preformed.....well, heavenly!  The small candle scented my entire living room with no difficulty and the tarts lasted a good, solid 18 hours.  This company puts out some good stuff!

MoneyPenny's SoySations

I am so absolutely happy to have found MoneyPenny's SoySations!  Until I was contacted by Angie, I hadn't been lucky enough to come upon her site!  MoneyPenny specializes in soy candles and tarts and is based out of Clinton, Illinois.  The owner is just an absolute sweet heart who's customer service is amazing.  So rather than talk your ear off further, let's get on to the review!

Apperance:
For this review, I received 10 packs of clamshell melts in the standard container.  Each was clearly and beautifully labeled with the scent and website/contact information for MoneyPenny's.  I love the clamshell packs because they are easy to store and stack!
I also received 3 adorable 8oz jelly jar candles with beautiful rustic/bronze lids.  They also came clearly labeled, as well as having a sticker to indicate the cure date...a VERY nice touch.

Scents:
Clamshell tart packs -
  • Lemon Meringue Pie - This is a perfect balance between the lemon and a delicious pie crust/bakery type scent.  The lemon does not overpower the bakery aspect, as a lot of other vendors' tend to do.
  • Key Lime Pie - Again, this balances the lime and crust scent very well.  I also get a lot of butter smell from this which is just pure heaven!
  • Hot Fudge Brownie - Perfect fudge scent!  No fake chocolate smell here, folks!
  • Creamy Caramel - This has to be my all-time favorite caramel smell.  Wow.  It just oozes deliciousness!
  • Citrus Sunburst - Another great one from MoneyPenny's!  Citrus tends to be a hit-or-miss scent due to the tendency for one citrus scent to overpower the others.  Not the case here.  I get equal amounts of all the notes!
  • Basil Sage Mint - I'm definitely not a huge basil fan.  It tends to irritate my nose, but this is actually really well done.  The basil and the mint work together to mellow each other out and it works perfectly.
  • Black Currant Vanilla - This is a great one if you tend to like the cologne/perfume type scents.  To me, it smells like a sexy man cologne!  Very strong throw.
  • Banana Cream Pie - This is one of my favorites from the order, mostly because it's an authentic banana smell, as opposed to the fake/candy scent I usually get from vendors.  I don't get a lot of bakery from this one on cold sniff, but I haven't melted it yet and it's sure to smell entirely different when I do.
  • Vanilla Bean - All you vanilla lovers out there....TRY MONEYPENNY'S VANILLA BEAN!!  Man, this is good!  And the throw was really impressive for a vanilla scent :)
  • Strawberry Cheesecake - This one smelled a little different than I expected.  Rather than the typical crust-heavy scent from most cheesecakes, it actually smelled more like a creamy strawberry.  I like this one a whole bunch!  Yummy!
8oz Jelly Jar Candles -
  • Purely Pomegranate - I'm not sure if it was intentional, but this smells like an exact dupe of Scentsy's Pomegranate, which I absolutely adore!  It's a full, robust berry scent that throws like crazy!  So juicy and something I highly recommend.
  • Cake Batter Ice Cream - Ooooh one of my favorite scents!  I've tried this from some vendors before and it's always a hit.  The one thing that made this stand out was it's throw.  Most Cake Batter Ice Cream's that I've tried have been rather light, which is understandable seeing as how the creamy scents just aren't that strong by nature.  This however, was a heavy hitter!  (And from a little 8oz jar!)
  • Mango Sorbet - I'm a very, very picky critic of mango scents.  So when I tell you how much I liked this one, you'll know I'm not messin' around!!  This is such a great smell!  A delicious, creamy blend of mango that will make your mouth water, for sure!
Performance:
This was one of the most impressive aspects of MoneyPenny's.  Of all the tarts I melted, I never got less than 12 hours of strong throw.  On top of that, the wax was super easy to pop out of my melters.  Her candles have a great throw, especially considering the size!  The burn time on the candles seems to be quite awhile and I'm more than happy with them.  I almost wish I could come up with something negative to say so this didn't seem like such a wishy-washy review but...alas, I can't think of a single thing! MoneyPenny's has some great stuff and you need to run - not walk - over to her site to check everything out!  There's also a Facebook Page you need to keep an eye one for current information and sales!

Rocky Corner Soap Works...Take Two!!

You might remember my review several weeks ago of a bar of soap I tried from Rocky Corner Soap Works in the scent grapefruit and peppermint.  I was somewhat disappointed in the lack of scent from this bar, but was more than impressed with the quality of the soap itself.  I vowed to try them one more time before discounting the company.

Yesterday I got a wonderful surprise in my mailbox.  The owner of Rocky Corner Soap Works had sent me a letter of apology and a summer collection pack of their soap bars.  She apologized that the grapefruit and peppermint soap had not lived up to my expectations and informed me that they were pulling that particular scent from their site.  I was absolutely floored at the amazing customer service...especially since I had not even contacted RCSW regarding my purchase.  They simply happened upon my blog and wanted to make up for the bar of soap I had tried previously.  This is obviously a company that cares deeply about their customers and products.

The summer collection pack of soap consisted of seven different bars.  They are all such pretty colors and smell amazing.  Perfect for summertime!  Read on for the review:

Appearance:
As I mentioned above, the bars are all vibrant and colorful.  The picture show here is taken from the Rocky Corner Soap Works page.

Scents:
Garden Mint - I love this scent!  It's a great combo of mint and greenery.  Very nice!
Moisturizing Skin Care - This has a very clean and fresh scent.  The best part, by far, is how NICE it feels against your skin.  It's like using a lotion more than using a soap!
After The Storm - I usually don't like products scented in the storm/rain scent because they tend to just smell like strong laundry detergent to me.  Not this one!  This is the closest thing to smelling like a storm that I've ever had.  It's amazing how authentic it smells!
Sea Island Grapefruit - Now, THIS is a great grapefruit scent!  If I'm not mistaken, this is the scent that replaced the old grapefruit and peppermint bar that I did not care for.  This is much improved.  I love the grapefruit scent because it is so uplifting and refreshing.
Fresh & Honeydew - I won't go over this one again because I've previously reviewed it.  Definitely one of my favorites!
Pomegranate and Peach - This is another great scent.  These two fruits go very well together!
Cucumber Melon - Anyone who has tried the cucumber melon scent from Bath & Body Works will have a good idea of how great this bar of soap smells.  Another great scent for summertime!

Overall Experience:
I am so grateful and happy that Rocky Corner Soap Works took it upon themselves to send me out this sampler pack.  I now chalk my previous experience up to circumstance.  Everything that I've been lucky enough to try out so far has not only smelled great, but been so much better on my hands than the cruddy soap from the store.  I also LOVE the fact that this soap is not tested on animals and I know that I could never go back to store-bought.  I'm a RCSW customer for life :)

Sugar & Spice Gourmet Soy Candles!!

My Sugar & Spice order came!!  I'm so excited about this one.  Up until recently, I've had more bad than good experiences with soy.  I've found one or two companies that did a great job....but the majority seemed to be quite a bit less quality than companies using paraffin, etc.  I had pretty much sworn off ordering more soy.  BUT...a Facebook page I frequent called "What's In Your Burner" listed a great free shipping sale from Sugar & Spice.  I can rarely say no to free shipping!!  So once again I dove into the world of soy, and I am very glad I did!
Scents:
~ 7.5oz candle in an adorable, traditional canning jar.

Melonade
- This is a great scent!  It's a combination of watermelon and lemonade.  Perfect for the summertime!  The throw from this little canning jar is very impressive.  I wouldn't have thought such a small melt pool could scent such a large area of my home!  I'm also loving the pretty pink color.

~ 1oz Soy-blend melts
Caramel Apple Cashew - Delish!!  This smells amazing.  You can distinctly smell each ingredient, and they blend so well with each other.  It reminds me of some tasty treat you can get at the fair...but I just can't put my finger on it!

Bamboo & White Grapefruit - I didn't particularly care for this scent.  It's more of an earthy/spicy smell (which I didn't expect from the name) and that's just not really my taste.  However I know for a fact that my mother will go bananas over this one so it will definitely be a nice surprise for her!

Verbena Berries - Wow!  This is another great scent.  It's a little hard to describe, but the one word that keeps coming into my head is juicy!  Loving this one, for sure.

Pumpkin Cinna Vanilla Crunch - I was a little nervous about this one because I definitely have trouble with the cinnamon smell.  I'm honestly not sure if it bugs be because it's too harsh or if it's because I'm allergic to the real thing and tend to associate the smell with not-so-pleasant experiences.  Either way, not my favorite.  HOWEVER...I popped this one into my melter and was pleasantly surprised.  The pumpkin and vanilla seem to really mellow out the cinnamon and make this a great scent.  Very creamy.  This would be an amazing Fall smell!
Mochaccino - I absolutely love this one and am so sad that it's on her closeout list!  I'll definitely be ordering this in a bigger candle soon.  It's a delish belnd of coffee and chocolate.....seriously what could be better?  GREAT smell and the throw from this little 1oz was incredible.  My entire home smelled heavenly.

~ 2oz Soy-blend melts (NEW from Sugar & Spice)
Blue Hawaii - Oooh lala!  Ya'll know I love my tropical scents and this has to be in my top 5 tropicals!  This is such a perfect smell.  It is just like a sweet, fruity, creamy drink!  One sniff and you'll feel like you got dropped on a white beach somewhere!  My favorite scent of this order :-)

Blackberry Fizz -
This isn't something new to me, as I've tried it from a few other vendors.  It's a great, uplifting scent and if you like it from another vendor, this will smell just as good!

Frosted Pumpkin Cookies -
I'm just absolutely in love with this one!  It's a mixture of sugar cookies and pumpkin (if I'm remembering right).  It couldn't be a better scent for fall....or anytime, really!  The only tiny little thing I would change would be adding more cookie than pumpkin to give it a little bit more creaminess.  This was a tester that was included so it will be interesting to see how she tweaks it!

Twilight Woods (type) - This is one of my favorite scents from B&BW.  I was so excited to test this out for Shanna.  Her version is just slightly different than the B&BW version...but certainly not enough to be a bad thing at all.  I'm probably more able to tell the difference because I had a bottle of B&BW lotion on hand to compare it to!  Overall it smells amazing and it's a definite re-order for me!

~ 6oz Soy-blend crumbles (NEW from Sugar & Spice)
The 6oz bag of crumbles came in an adorable cello bag with her painfully cute label on the front!  They are white with REAL sprinkles!! The scent was cake batter ice cream, which I ordered as a suggestion from a review on candlefind.com.  Oh goodness...this is heaven.  It's such a creamy, delicious smell that you won't even believe your nose!  My only TEENY gripe is that it definitely isn't a huge thrower.  This is never really a problem for me, as my living room is pretty small.  But if you've got vaulted ceilings and multiple floors, you might be better off burning this one in a smaller room of the house.  Overall this is a great product that I am so happy she added to her site!

Performance:
I could NOT believe the scent throw of everything I got in my order!  That little candle threw like a great, big jar and even the little 1oz tarts scented my entire house for a good 9+ hours. The fact that I'm impressed says a lot because I'm VERY critical when it comes to soy  My past experiences have not all been great.  Sugar & Spice definitely passed the test!

This is a great company that you need to check out!  The customer service is great and her TAT is pretty darn impressive, as well!  Please make sure you stop by her site as well as her Facebook Page to keep updated on new products and sales!

Out Of The Box Sampler!!

My new Out Of The Box Sampler came in today!!  It's just like Christmas morning.  If any of you haven't heard about OOTB, listen up!  This is a very fun company that everyone should try at least once!  Vendors from all over send in their samples to OOTB.  They are then packaged up and delivered to your house for $22.50...including shipping!  It's a great way to find vendors you never knew about, and an even better way to try out vendors you've been considering, but haven't made the leap yet.  I'm going to be going over everything I received in this month's Beach Themed Box.  Simply click on the company name to be directed to their site!

There are still a few boxes left so if you like what you read...head on over to OOTB and get your box now!  (This photo was borrowed from the OOTB facebook page.  Please stop by there as well!)

**FYI - My camera is having some issues so all these pictures are looking a little blue.  Sorry about that!**

Virga Botanicals
From this company, I received a generous 2oz sample of cooling face mist and toner in lavender green tea.  This is a GREAT product!  I've already tried it out and it feels amazing on your face.  I will definitely be ordering some things from Virga Botanicals in the near future!

TLC Inspirations
"What are YOU looking at" is the graphic included on this adorable novelty pin.  There's a cute little critter on the front with big ole eyes!  This is an adorable little pin and he's definitely going in my collection.

Angies Raggedy Patch
Choco-Tootsies Chocolate Foot Bath - Cause' feet love chocolate too...  How neat!  This is such a cool product.  It's a foot bath scented in chocolate.  What could be better?

The Pink 'Dillo
From this adorably named company I received a cute, prim little refrigerator magnet!  A girl can never have too many magnets and this little cutie is already on my fridge!

Naturally Lela
Now this is cool!  I got a sample of the Namaste Mini Buffins.  One side of this organic sugar and beeswax foot buffer will soften, and the other side will smooth.  Shaped like a delicious treat!

Lotion Bar Cafe

This soap sample is scented in Miami Slice and it is heavenly!  It leaves your skin soft and clean!

Capricorn Soap Company
From this company I got two samples!  One, a great little bar of soap made with olive oil and the other, a oatmeal & honey moisturizing body lotion.  Great products!

Petite Paperie
This is a beautiful, hand crafted card with envelope.  It has a life-like ink image of a crab...fitting with the beach theme from this month's box!

Ugly Duckling Designs
There's nothing ugly about this tart sample!  It's in the cutest little shape of a flip-flop, scented in Summer Splash.  The scent is just as amazing as the design!

Jodis Craft Emporium
This sample is a little heart shaped, soy tart in French Vanilla.  Yum!  I can't wait to melt this one :-)

Rocky Corner Soap Works
Getting this soap was a little eerie!  I had ordered a full sized bar of soap from this company after getting my last OOTB and loving it.  They send along little samples with every order and I got a sample in Fresh & Honeydew.  I ended up loving it even more than the full sized bar I ordered and was getting sad because my samples was almost gone.  Then today I open up my OOTB and what is there on top?  A full sized bar of Fresh & Honeydew!  Crazy!  I'm so excited....this company makes some great soap and you should check it out!

Rhoda Rose
Man, that lady can make some tasty treats!  I got a sample of her chocolate covered graham crackers and, well...it's already gone!  Yum-tastic!

Country Keepsakes
Yay!  Tart samples!  I got a heart and a star scented in Strawberry Margaritas.  Perfect for summertime!

CleanQueenSoapCo!

These sugar cube scrubs in Watermelon Bubblegum are to die for!  Perfect scent and really neat product.

Shearwater Falls

Not only did I get a very neat sample of healthy Skin Scrub, but they also sent along a great brochure, detailing all of their products. This was a great idea!  I'll be checking their site out, for sure.

A Penny For Your Thoughts
This company sent along a beautiful greeting card and tag.  They are themed with the patriotic/4th of July colors and just absolutely beautiful.  There's even some included star confetti!

Three of a Kind Crafters
This is yet another generous sample provided by a great company!  Two soap products were sent including a basil lime organic body wash and soap bar.  These smell great and came in adorable packaging.

SBS Teas
I'm a huge tea fan, and pretty picky about what I drink.  SBS Teas hits the mark every time.  This sample was of Mango Green Tea and even came with a seeping bag to use.  Very good tea and very thoughtful packaging.

Sweet Candleations
Oh...my....gosh!!  This is the cutest candle I've seen!  It's a little mini key-lime pie!!  I don't even want to melt this because it's so darn cute!  But on the other hand it smells so good....how can I not melt it?

Not your Mama's Mix

Oh yum!  This creative little product is a double chocolate-chocolate chip mug cake mix.  You just throw this in a mug, add an egg, throw it in the microwave...and bam!  You have a super tasty cake to eat right out of the mug!  I can't wait to mix this up!

Well, that's it folks!  Those are all of the great products I got in my OOTB sampler.  Please make sure to stop by and check out these vendors as well as OOTB to get your box!  You should also check out the OOTB blog page for cool giveaways INCLUDING some from Rocky Corner Soap Works and Country Keepsakes!  If you have any questions, ya'll are welcome to email me or leave a comment!

Happy melting!

New wax from Front Porch Candle Co!

I was recently given the opportunity to test out the new wax blend from Front Porch Candle Co!  I received my candle in a 12oz Apothecary jar with an adorable black lid that rests on top.  The label on this candle is absolutely GORGEOUS!  It is a beautiful picture of a front porch, out in the country.  It couldn't be a better representation of down-home goodness!  (I apologize about the quality of this picture.  My camera is on the fritz!)

Scent:
My candle was scented in peppermints.  This is a very authentic smell.  A lot of people lean towards burning this scent only around the holidays, but I enjoy it year-round!  Rather than looking at it as just a Christmas scent, I view it more as a spa/relaxing type aroma.  Either way, this is a great scent choice that I recommend.

Throw:
I LOVED the quality and strength of this throw!  It's a small candle but it surely packed one heck of a punch!  It scented my entire living room as well as my hallway and parts of my bedroom.  I was very surprised at how much this little thing threw!

Burn quality:
This candle did very well.  It melted quickly to produce a large pool.  There was NO smoking or soot issues whatsoever.  The only little flaw I can find is related to the jar.  I've never been a huge fan of the Apothecary style, mostly because it seems like they have issues with evenly burning across the top.  This one was much better in that regard, and I attribute that to the quality of this new wax!

Overall, I think this new blend of wax is a hit for Front Porch Candle Co.  You should definitely give it a try!  If you're not ready to make a huge order commitment, you can order one of the Out Of The Box samplers this month because Front Porch is included!  It's a great way to try out several different vendors and get to know companies you might never have come across!

Please take some time to visit Front Porch today!  They also have a great message board that is worth checking out :-)

Happy melting!

Mini Review from Candles By Lucy!

Recently, Candles By Lucy had a killer sale that I couldn't pass up...even though my wax budget is getting dangerously low :)  As a result, this is just a small order.  However, even though it's small, it's a great indication of how neat this company is and I will definitely be ordering from her again!

Appearance: My 10 pack of tarts came wrapped up in a cello back with a nice, easy-to-read label and a ribbon tie.  The individual tarts each came in a small bag with the same label.  Everything was very adorable and packaged in a pleasing manor.

Scents: While I only got 3 different scents, I was very impressed with them!
  • Strawberries and Champagne - This was on sale as part of the clearance section.  I'm so sad to find out that this is being discontinued!  This is a great scent.  I wouldn't say it smells like fresh strawberries mixed with champagne, but more like the strawberry flavored champagne.  My only gripe is that it's a very soft scent so if you have large rooms to scent, this might not be the one for you.
  • Hawaiian Tropic Suntan Oil - Oh yum!  Ya'll know how much I love my suntan lotion scents.  This one is DEFINITELY in my top 3!!  It's a perfect combo of suntan oil and fruit.  I can definitely pick up on some banana.  This is great.  I will be re-ordering this one for sure!
  • Cinnaberry - I've smelled this one a bit...but not too much! (Cinnamon allergy bothers me)  But for all you cinnamon lovers, this is a perfect Christmas time scent!
Overall Experience: I had a great time ordering from Candles By Lucy!  The customer service was very good and TAT was very impressive, especially considering it was during a sale!  This is another great company that I would recommend!  Make sure you check out her Facebook page, too!

More goodies from Nana's Just Tarts

Nana's Just Tarts, Home of Nana's Meltin Muffin Tarts!!

That's right!  Another FABULOUS order from Nana's!!  The last order I placed was for a suntan scented tart, and it was dead-on perfect!  This time around I decided to order a little more variety so everyone could get a taste of how wonderful this vendor is!!

Appearance: As always, Nana's tarts are just the cutest things!  The packaging is so adorable!  Each tart comes individually wrapped with a neat little business card, attached by some homespun.  Her 1oz tarts are nice and big!  Even bigger than most other vendor's "1oz" tarts.  I ordered a couple Meltin Muffin tarts...since that's what she's famous for!  These things are super cute.  The look exactly like a real muffin and have a chunk of corresponding fruit stuck in them!  And did I mention these suckers are BIG?!  I also ordered a pie sampler and these are possible the cutest things I've seen!  My camera does not do it justice, so make sure you stop by and check it out for yourself!

Scents: (Please be prepared for overuse of the word "Yum!")
  • Meltin Muffins (Pineapple) - Oh this is to die for!  A yummy, authentic muffin smell combined with a perfect pineapple.  Thank goodness I can't actually eat this or my waistline would be in trouble!
  • Meltin Muffins (Strawberry) - This is just as yummy as the first muffin.  Same scent, but with a delicious strawberry in place of the pineapple.
  • Meltin Muffins (Vanilla Butter Crunch) - All you vanilla lovers out there...LISTEN UP!!  You absolutely must try this!  Wow!
  • Sun & Sand - This is a tart that Nana's was super nice enough to send along for me to compare to the Sun & Sand candle from the Y* company that shall remain nameless!  I definitely wouldn't say this is a dupe of that scent, but believe it or not...I like this BETTER!  This is amazing.  A perfect, beachy scent that's out of this world.  I think I'm going to melt half of this with half of my Coppertone tart!  Ooooooh....
  • Mango Berry - This tart is unbelievable.  Mango is one of my favorite scents, but a lot of vendors don't make such a great mango scent.  This, however.....perfection!
  • Red Current - Ok, now this is just insane!  How can each tart be better than the last?  I think there's some kind of magic involved here.  This scent is great!  It's a perfect mix of something sweet and something tart.  Right up my alley!
  • Smores - Chocolate and marshmallow...what could be better?  I almost get a little spice as well.  I can already tell that this one is going to get even better when melted.  I can't wait!
  • Pie Tart (Lemon Meringue) - Uggh, I wanna eat this!!  It smells amazing and completely authentic.
  • Pie Tart (Coconut Cream) - I just love coconut.  And then when you add a bakery/creamy smell?  Woo hoo!
  • Pie Tart (Blueberry) - Blueberry usually tends to smell a little fake. Not this one!  Wow.
  • Pie Tart (Strawberry Rhubarb) - In real life, this is my all time favorite pie.  Surprisingly, this tart lives up to my expectations...which is NOT easy to do!
  • Pie Tart (Peach) - I can't get over how strong this is.  I love peach, but it's naturally a lighter type scent.  Not this puppy!
  • Pie Tart (Cherry) - This one smells more like a black cherry than the standard red cherry.  I like it a lot better this way.  It gives it more of a tartness.  Very yummy!
  • Pie Tart (Hot Baked Apple) - Because this one has cinnamon, I haven't been able to review it.  However if it's even HALF as good as any of her other pie tarts, I know it's amazing.  CONTEST TIME!!  If you place an order with Nana's Just Tarts, send me an email with your name and order number.  You will be entered into a drawing to receive two of these super cute Hot Baked Apple Pie tarts!!!  Hurry, contest ends soon!  Winners will be announced on our Facebook Page!
  Overall Experience:

I just can't say enough good things about Nana's!  Everyone should give them a try!  If I hadn't been on Etsy, searching for a Coppertone scent, I would have never come across them.  Because of that, I'll do my best to make sure everyone I know finds this little gem!  The customer service is beyond anything I've had before.  You won't find a nicer, more accommodating seller to work with.  The TAT is outstanding, and the tarts themselves are out of this world.  Give Nana's a try today and remember to enter our contest!

Angel Made Scents

Wow.  That pretty much sums up my experience with Angel Made Scents.  It has been awhile since I was this thoroughly impressed with every aspect of a vendor.  I will be singing the praises of AMS to every person I know!!  Please read on for the review:

Apperance: Super cute!  Everything has beautiful labels and taffeta ribbons.  It has a very cute, down-home feel.  All the tarts were packaged in a checkered bag that would be just PERFECT for gift giving!  Tarts came in clear cups and my candle was in a 16 oz mason jar.  It even had matching glitter on the top!  I can't get over how cute this whole order was!

Scents:
  • Herbal Dreams (Herbal Essence type) - This is a scent I was lucky enough to get included in my Out Of The Box sampler.  It smells exactly like the original Herbal Essence shampoo!  However, it is not a soapy type scent.  It's just a clean, nice scent that is by far one of my all time favorites!
  • Moonlight Path - Now, I'm not sure if AMS was going for a dupe of Bath and Body Works...but this nailed it!  I can't believe how dead on this scent is!  I'm so impressed!
  • Eucalyptus Spearmint - This is another scent that couldn't be more perfectly exact to that of Bath and Body.  I've ordered the Eucalyptus Spearmint from many, many vendors and they all smell just like Wrigley's Spearmint Gum.  This one, however, is finally the match for the Stress Relief line from Bath and Body.  I'm ecstatic for this!
  • Sweet Pea - This is another perfect dupe for the Bath and Body scent.  I don't know how they do it!!  No other vendor I've ever ordered from has come even half as close as AMS!!!
  • Blackberry Zucchini Bread - This was included as a free sample.  It is not something I would have ever ordered so I'm glad it was thrown in!  I like this on a lot!  It's a very complex bakery scent and the blackberry and zucchini go perfectly together.
  • Blackberry Fizz - I love this one, too (You're shocked right?).  It is a delicious, fizzy concoction that is perfect for these HOT summer days.
  • Pink Sugar Bean - This is another free sample.  Ya'll know I'm not a pink sugar fan...so when I tell you that I actually liked this one, you know it's good!  It's more of a soft sugar scent rather than that super sweet scent that I don't like.  Very nice combo.
  • Energy Spa - Last, but certainly not least, is Energy Spa.  This one is hard to describe unless you know what the scent of "relaxed" smells like!  This is such a calming scent that everyone should have to melt when it's been a particularly stressful day!
Overall Experience: Again, I say, "Wow!"  Angel Made Scents is very, very quickly becoming my favorite vendor...and you know how picky I am!  Customer service was out of this world and the products themselves were unbelievable.  If you love wax....PLEASE stop by AMS and give them a try!  You should also check out the Facebook Page to keep up to date with sales and new products.

Contest:  Right now, if you place an order with AMS and post a short review on my Facebook Page, you will be entered in a giveaway contest!!  Now is a great time to try them out because new customers get 40% off and FREE shipping over $25!!  How could you possibly beat that?!?

Rocky Corner Soap Works

Soap?  Yes, soap!!  TheWaxAddict is branching out to bath & body!  For our first adventure, I chose Rocky Corner Soap Works.  This was a company I came across via the Out Of The Box sampler.  They sent along an adorable sample of lemongrass soap and I was hooked!

I placed an order for just one bar of soap this time around.  I ordered Grapefruit & Peppermint in the 4oz bar.  It was on clearance and only cost me $1!!  Quite the bargain.  On to the review:

Appearance:  This soap came in a large 4oz bar with a decorative design on the front.  It was a soft pink color and very pretty!

Scent: The bar I ordered was in Grapefruit & Peppermint.  I happen to love this combo of scents and was very excited to open the box.  However I quickly became disappointed.  This particular bar had no scent whatsoever.  It smelled exactly like the soap bars that are unscented.  Not even a "soapy" scent.  Very blah.  I'm not sure if this was because of this particular scent, or if maybe it had been sitting around for quite awhile.  I did, however get a sample of Fresh & Honeydew soap that smelled FANTASTIC!!  I'll definitely be giving this company another shot before discounting them.

Performance: Despite being disappointed in the scent, I was definitely impressed with the performance.  The soap lathered up perfectly and left my skin feeling soft and clean, without feeling dried out and stripped of the natural oils.  This soap was amazing.  I'm highly impressed.

Overall experience:  While I was less than impressed with the scent in my bar, the quality and performance more than made up for that fact.  I will definitely be ordering again.  I'm pretty sure this bar was a fluke, especially since the sample I got in my Out Of The Box sampler and the free sample they sent along smelled great.

So that concludes our first adventure into the world of handmade bath & body.  I'll be reviewing some new products in the month to come so make sure you keep an eye out!  Also make sure you join our Facebook page to watch for our free giveaways!  Check it out here:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/TheWaxAddict/129747170391380?ref=ts

Tart Heaven courtesy of Southern Star Scents!!

Just when I think I've found my favorite company for tarts....along comes ANOTHER one that blows me out of the water!  Southern Star Scents has some of the best melts I've purchased thus far!  They are super strong and the scents are amazing!  So let's get to it!.....

Apperance:
These tarts come in a 2oz clear tart cup with a very cute and rustic looking label on each lid.  The wax is soft enough to pop right out of the cups and to easily be cut in half, if they're too large for your warmer!  At $1.25 each....these are a bonafide STEAL!

Scents:
  • Butt Naked - This is a great combo of apple and honeydew.  I also get hints of strawberry.  A great fruity scent!
  • Watermelon Wine - I'm going to name this one of my favorites from this order.  The combo of an authentic watermelon with the romantic smell of wine is pure perfection!
  • Monkey Farts - This is a scent I have tried from a couple different vendors.  It is very similar, but I like it a little bit better because there isn't as much of an overpowering smell of banana.  It's a much better, even mix of fruits.
  • Mango Mandarin - Ya'll know how picky I am with my mango scents.  But in all honesty, this is one of my top 3 mango scents EVER!  It is amazing when paired up with mandarin.  It almost smells like a sorbet.  Just a perfect scent for the summer.
  • Creme Brulee - Smells just like a very creamy caramel.  Delish!
  • Lucy & Ethel - Not many of you know this, but I am a huge rat lover!  Weird, right?  I love candles and pet rats?  Doesn't seem normal :)  But I have always had pet rats and they are just the most amazing little guys.  Super smart and friendly.  The reason I bring that up is because my 2 little girl rats just happen to be named Lucy & Ethel!  Besides the fact that I love the name, I also love the scent!  Smells just like "best friends" from other vendors.
  • Sweet Orange Chilli Pepper - This is a scent I've reviewed before.  This one is a dead on dupe for the other tart I purchased.  Again, I recommend it highly!  Don't let the Chilli Pepper part scare you!  This is a great orange-ie scent that everyone should try!
  • Kiwi Watermelon - I'm very picky with watermelon scents.  I don't like the fake candy-type smell.  This one does NOT disappoint!  It's very authentic and juicy!  I can't wait to burn this one :)
  • Naked Cowboy - This is one sexy smell!  It's a very nice, romantic cologne smell.  I feel the need to rub it all over my fiance!
  • Whipped Pineapple - I don't get a ton of pineapple smell from this on cold sniff, but pineapple is one of those tricky scents that hides until it's melted.
  • Lemonheads - If anyone has ever smelled the Fizzy Pop scent from other vendors, you'll have a good idea of what this one smells like.  It's a combo of fizzy and lemon.  No harsh cleaning scent here!
  • Chap My Ass - Love the name and love the scent!  It's a little hard to put my finger on, but I definitely get a cherry scent from this one.
  • Texas Breeze - The Southern Star Scents page describes this one as "hard to describe" and that's right on the money.  It's a very clean, fresh scent but without that horrible scented laundry detergent smell that I abhor.  This is a very nice scent.
  • Island Heat - Pineapple, strawberry and orange.  What could be better?  This was the first one I popped in my warmer and my entire house smells amazing!
  • Vanilla Latte - At the risk of repeating myself, this one is great, too!  It smells like the perfect creamy coffee.  Just like my favorite coffee house.
  • Mac Apple - If you love apple, you'll love this one!  It's such a perfect apple smell, that I can't say enough about it!!
  • Lick Me All Over - This is a mix of several fruits as well as jasmine and violet.  I'm not a huge floral fan, but it compliments this scent very well.
  • Grapefruit Twist - This is a perfect combo of vanilla and grapefruit.  I love the smell of grapefruit, but sometimes it is a little harsh on the nose.  Mixing it with vanilla to calm it down??  Genius!!
  • Mango Papaya - This is JUST as good as the Mango Mandarin.  It's more of a creamy scent and I love this!
  • Raspberry Guava - I usually don't like the guava scents.  I've tried the raspberry guava candle from Candles By Victoria (a company I absolutely LOVE) and even then didn't care for it.  But this tart is great!!  It's an extremely good combination.
  • Jamaica Me Crazy - I've reviewed this scent before from other companies and you know I love it!  This one is a dead on dupe.
  • Coconut Lime Verbena - OH. MY. GOD. !!!  This is amazing!  Not only do I get the lime and coconut, but it also has a creaminess to it.  This is just perfection.
  • Pineapple Supreme - To me, this isn't my favorite.  I don't get much pineapple at all.  It smells a little odd.  But, again, I have not melted it yet so it may change completely.  I will keep you updated!
  • Hot Mama - Just judging by the name I would have expected some cinnamon.  But it's actually a very fruity smell.  This is a good one, too!
  • Hunter's Romance - This is another free sample that Southern Star was nice enough to throw in.  It's really hard to put my finger on this one.  It's a nice, manly and earthy type scent.  Kind of woodsy.
  • Tropical Twister - This is one of my top tropical scents!  Very nice!
  • Cowgirls N Pearls - This is a combo of vanilla and leather.  It's not something I would have ordered for myself.  It was included as a free sample. It definitely is interesting, but I'm not a big leather fan.  I guess that's the animal activist in me :)
Overall Experience: I had a great experience with Southern Star Scents!  Their customer service is very good and the TAT was good as well.  This is a company I would most definitely recommend that everyone try!  Also make sure to check out their facebook page at:  http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Southern-Star-Scents/184947958257?ref=ts

It's a good day for candle deliveries!!

The weather might be absolutely awful here, but 3 different candle deliveries sure cheered me up!  I've got a lot to go through so I'm going to do a more brief review than I typically do.  If anyone has any questions or wants more details...just leave me a message!!

First Box: Candles By Victoria

My online party finally wrapped up and I was able to go ahead and place MY order!!  Yay!!  As always, I'm very, very impressed with these candles and ya'll know that I'm a CBV addict!  Here are the scents I got this time:

Silent Bob Goes To The Beach: This is one of my top favorite scents.  It's just a perfect beachy scent!  There are hints of sunscreen (and everyone here knows I love my sunscreen scent!) as well as a fruity concoction that is reminiscent of a nice drink....delivered by a cute cabana boy at the pool-side!!  What could be better?   ....Other than actually BEING there!!
Treasure Island: This is another scent I have previously reviewed when my mother placed her order.  This, again, is an amazing summer scent.  It has hints of pina colada mixed with other fruits including pineapple...and it's shear perfection!
MelonPop!: This is my own combination.  CBV has an option on the 8th page of candles where you can make your own candle!  It's tons of fun and everyone should give it a shot!  You get the option to pick two scents to mix, what color you want it, and even what name you want to give it!  I chose to mix Fizzy Pop with Watermelon...and I gotta say I think I did a pretty darn good job!!  It's GREAT!  Fizzy pop actually smells carbonated.  Now, I'm not sure I understand how carbonation can have a SMELL....but this pulls it off!  So that fun, bubbly smell mixed with watermelon is amazing.  I love it!
Tropical Temptation: Pineapple, coconut, and mango?  Wow. 'Nuff said.
Island Delight - Can you tell I'm in a tropical mood? :)  This is another PERFECT summer scent.  It's a mix of strawberry, lime, and pineapple.  I'm loving this one, too.

Second Box: Busy Bee Candles
This is a great company that I recently came across via http://www.candlefind.com.  I've read great things about them and I've also had several requests from readers to do a review.  So here ya go!!

Wood Wick Candles: I got two 8oz candles in super cute mason jars.  They both have wood wicks, which is something I'm new to.  They're definitely something I will re-order!  The basic concept is that they crackle and sound like a fireplace.  Very neat!  Even if you ignore the fact that they crackle....I still enjoy the wicks for the fact that they produce a larger, and wider flame.  It makes it look very neat, and melts the pool faster.  That, of course, creates a great scent throw in half the time of a normal wick.

Tarts: These are the standard 1oz tarts in the normal shape.  They come in mini cello bags with a very cute and clear scent label.  Below is my review of the scents I received.
  • Blackberry Fizz  - This is a great scent!  It's just like a carbonated drink with hints of blackberry.
  • Creme Brulee - I have had a hard time finding a good creme brulee scent from the vendors I've tried.  Busy Bee Candles is by far my favorite!
  • Birthday Cake - This is super yummy!  Just like the icing on a birthday cake :)
  • Mango Papaya - Most scents I've tried with mango have been iffy at best.  It seems like it's a real hit-or-miss kind of scent. This one's a HIT!  It's a great fruity/tropical scent and I love this one.
  • Pina Colada - Just as the name says....this one is very authentic!
Third Box: Out Of The Box Sampler

This is something I was very excited to find.  The basic concept is that all kinds of online vendors send in samples of their products to Out Of The Box.  The do this for advertising.  Then the Out Of The Box company assembles boxes of really neat samples and sends them to your door.  I got everything from chocolate pretzels and soap to bath bombs and tarts!  It's a great way to try out vendors you normally wouldn't have and to get a bunch of neat little samples!    And the best part is that it is only $22....including shipping!  I've already found a few new companies I like and have placed orders.  Reviews coming soon!

My New Scentsy Tart Warmer :)

Just a quick little post about the new tart warmer I got today in the mail.  Anyone who has used tarts is probably aware of the Scentsy company.  While I LOVE their warmers, I think their tarts are overpriced and stick to buying my tarts from other vendors.  This is my first warmer that I've purchased...and I love it!  It is in the Boleyn style and fits in with my decor really nicely.  The top ceramic bowl is heated by a light bulb rather than a flame or hot-plate.  This keeps the wax from ever getting hot enough to burn you.  It also lets the scent release more slowly...and thus extend the life of your tart.  It's working great and makes my tarts last much longer than the tart tin I had sitting on an old candle warmer!! :)

Can-Do-Candles and NEW PRODUCT REVIEW :)

Yay!  My Can-Do-Candles order came in today!  I will say one thing about this company...their TAT is astounding!  Let's get right to it!

Appearance:
I ordered two different sample packs.  Both came in the canvas bag with a super cute custom label.  Each tart is in an individual bag with a scent label.  These sampler packs were extra special because Donna was nice enough to do two custom packs so that I could get some more different types of scents reviewed and answer some of yall's burning questions!!

Scents: (There's a bunch so bare with me!)

Bakery Sampler - A whole bunch of you requested some bakery scent reviews.  I normally don't order these types, so it gave me a chance to try out something new, outside of my comfort zone.  Boy am I glad I did!

Pound Cake - Yummy!  This is a great scent.  It's pretty heavy on the butter, and you also get hints of cake behind that.  I'm sure that once you melt it, the cake scent will come out in full force.  I can't wait to get this one going!
Pink Sugar Cookies - Now, you all know that I'm not a fan of the "pink sugar" category, so I don't love this one.  But that's a personal scent preference and I KNOW there's a bunch of you pinkie's out there!  If you're one of them, this is definitely the scent for you.  Equal amounts of the pink sugar and yummy cookie smell. (Look for this one in a give-away contest coming very soon!!)
Cast Iron Cookies - Boy-howdie!  This is great!  It's a little hard to describe the difference between just plain cookies and cast-iron cooked cookies....but if you've ever tasted them you'll know exactly what this tart smells like!  Very amazing, complicated scent.
Coconut Cream Pie - It's a little hard to smell the coconut behind the butter, but coconut is one of those scents that tends to come out only when it's melted.  I bet this one will rock my world when I finally get a chance to melt it!
Corn Puddin' - When I read this name, I was a little worried!  Corn and pudding?  Odd...   But it turns out it's a really neat smell!  You definitely do get corn...but it's more of a "dessert corn" scent - if that makes any sense!  You'll just have to try it.  I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do!
Grandma Thompson's Secret Recipe - I don't know who this Grandma Thompson is...but she needs to spread the word about this recipe!  Very delicious!  It's a little bit similar to the Cast Iron Cookies...but a little more complex.
Sugar Butt - At the risk of repeating myself....Yummy!  This is another good one.  I'm a huge butter fan...but trying not to eat much of it.  I think replacing my butter diet with Donna's butter-smelling tarts just might be the trick!
Lisa's Lemon Bars - My mom used to make lemon bars for us as kids all the time.  This smells JUST like them!  It's a little spooky :)
Hot Orange Danish - I think this might be my favorite.  I already love orange scents...and then add the bakery scent to it?  I'm in heaven!
Vanilla Bean - This one is pretty light on cold sniff, but I can definitely pick up on a rich vanilla scent.  This is another one that I think will surprise me once it's melting.
Cherry Chip Cake - This is another scent that is by far on the top of my re-order list!  I just love this one!  In addition to the cake-scent, you also get a rick maraschino cherry scent!  It makes my mouth water!
Cinnamon & Sugar - I let my mom review this one, because I have an allergy to cinnamon and even the scent can irritate my throat.  This is definitely a strong scent.  If you love cinnamon, this is for you!  This one will also be included in my give-away contest!

Best Seller Sampler Pack - This is another custom sampler that Donna was nice enough to put together for us!!  Again, this is not available for purchase on her site, but each scent certainly is!

Vanilla Apples - The name describes this one pretty well.  It's a nice, rich vanilla mixed with an AUTHENTIC apple smell.  Great tart!
Black Raspberry Vanilla - This is just as good as the vanilla apples!  It's a nice, deep raspberry scent.  There's also the rich vanilla scent that adds to this amazing little tart.
Dad's Cucumbers & Cream - This is very interesting.  I expected a sweet scent, but this almost has more of a bakery feel.  Very heavy cream and true cucumber mix to make one interesting scent.  This is a must-try!
Sugar Rush - For all you "pink sugar" fans, this will be a winner.  I know there are lots and lots of people who would love this one, but it's not my personal preference.  This, too will be included in my upcoming contest!
Fig -  I can't honestly say I've ever smelled a fig...but if this is what they smell like, then sign me up!  This is a soft fruity scent, with an almost soapy top note.  But not a gross soap...a very clean, interesting scent.  Of course, I have a feeling that this one will smell entirely different after melted.
kiwi-Sage & Ginger - I'm always hesitant with herb or earthy scents, as they tend to not be my favorites.  But this is actually quite nice!  You can definitely pick up on the kiwi, but the sage and ginger cut down on the harsh and sharp nature of that particular fruit.  Very nice.
Lemongrass & Olive - Again, I wasn't too sure about this one.  But I really need to learn to stop judging a tart by it's name!  This is great!  Very lemony and clean...without having that terrible cleaning product smell.  This is a re-order for me!
Citrus Zinger - I have YET to find a citrus scent from Can-Do-Candles that I didn't like, and this is no exception.  Orange and (maybe?) pineapple give this quite the kick!
Apple Mango Tango - This reminds me exactly of the mango scent from Gain.  Fruity and fresh.  This is a winner!
Coconut Lime Verbena - I love this scent from Bath and Body Works!  While this isn't an exact dupe, it's pretty close!  It's a little softer on the lime than the B&BW scent.  GREAT for summer!
Sweet Orange & Chili Pepper - Ahh...this infamous scent!  I've heard so many great reviews for this scent (even from other companies).  I've always rolled my eyes when I hear someone say how great it smells.  I mean, come on!  Orange and chilli pepper?  Eww!  WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  This is great!  I don't get any of the spicy from the pepper, but I think it's in there to cut down on the sharpness of the orange.  Any way you slice it, this is a great scent that everyone must try.
Kudzu - This is another great scent if you like the fruity types!  I pick up something very similar to grape, but there's another fruit in there that I just can't describe!  Order this one and try it out for yourself!  Make sure to leave me a comment when you do so I can find out what you smell in it!
Pink Sugar Baby - This is a great combination of pink sugar and baby powder!  A great scent for pink sugar lovers!
Plumeria - This is one of the free samples that were included.  It's a GREAT floral scent! Fresh and clean!  It just reminds me of that feeling you get when someone is thoughtful enough to send you a bouquet of flowers.  You lean in to take a big whiff, and you just feel loved!
Pumpkin Bread Puddin - This is the second free sample I received.  At the risk of sounding like a broken record...this is great!  Smells just like dessert on Thanksgiving Day!  I love this one!
Mango Twist -  I saved this one for last because Donna had mentioned that it was pretty soft and is considering taking it out of her inventory.  I, for one, hope she doesn't!  While it definitely is softer than her other tarts, it's not 'weak' my any stretch of the imagination.  I think it would be just perfect for anyone in an apartment or a smaller home where powerful scents tend to overwhelm them.  It would also go great in a bathroom!  It's a wonderful, fruity scent that is very refreshing!

New Product Review!!

Donna was super nice and threw in a new product for me to review for you all!  It's tenative name is the Scent Stone.  It is a BEAUTIFUL and creative way to scent small spaces in your home such as a bathroom or bedroom.  It is hand-poured and comes with instructions, a bottle of scented oil, and a glass plate that the stone rests on.  The basic concept is you put up to 15 drops of oil on it, and it dispurses the sent throughout the room.  This cute little thing is currently making my bathroom smell amazing!  I've got the Paradise Island oil on it and I'm just loving it!  (See previous review for scent description on Paradise Island)

If you have small children, pets, or are just generally worried about leaving a tart burner going, then this is the solution for you!  Not only is it super effective, but the stone itself is a beautiful, intricate flower that goes great with any decor.  This is an all around GREAT product and I can't wait until it is available for purchase for everyone!  If any of my readers have questions about this produce, leave me a message and I'll do my best to answer it.  But be prepared to hear me go on and on about how amazing this is!  :)
